EXPERIENCE

Rachel has extensive experience helping people of all ages, and their families, navigate and overcome challenges ranging from acute crises to chronic situations. Prior to entering private practice in 2008, Rachel served as Youth Program Manager at Gilda's Club of Northern New Jersey; Pediatric Neurology and Pediatric Oncology Social Worker at Children's Hospital of New York; NICU Social Worker at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, CA; Senior Social Worker at Aegis Battered Women's Program in New York, NY; and Pediatric AIDS Social Worker at Jersey City Medical Center.  She serves as a supervising therapist at Volunteer Counseling Services in New City, NY, does volunteer crisis counseling for organizations, and has created and led no-cost parenting support groups at local public libraries in Rockland County, NY.

EDUCATION

Rachel received her B.A. from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, and her M.S.W. from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.  She completed post-graduate training in Live Clinical Supervision, Family Systems Theory and Therapy, and Live Family Therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York, NY.  Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State.
